Big Bag perfect for
Mafilco bigbags filter sludge and allow it to be dehydrated using atmospheric pressure, reducing costs in handling and waste management. They are manufactured in Spain (in our factory in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda) with technical fabric in different materials, constructions and permeabilities, highlighting the 100% polypropylene monofilament, tailored to the client’s needs. They are generally made with 25 cm lifting belts and are available with a flat bottom, with a loading mouth and with a discharge mouth.

This Mafilco bigbag is a simple and economical filtration system for small volumes of sludge, which does not justify the installation of a filter press for the recovery of dirty water with suspended particles. Common applications include the recovery of hydrocarbons, oils, paint and glues as well as organic waste.

Depending on the type of material to be placed in the Big bag (food, construction, mining, etc.), there is a wide variety of models.
The choice between one or another model will depend on different factors to take into account, among which are:

We have several types of Big Bags:
BIG CIRCULAR BAG:
The circular big bag is made of a tubular raffia fabric, thus avoiding side seams. They are made of polypropylene and usually have four handles for easy handling.
STABLE BIG BAG:
Model with a square shape, giving more loading capacity, designed more for loading containers and trucks. Inside they have sewn seams that allow them to maintain their square shape, allowing for a larger cavity. They are made of polypropylene material.

The filter bags are of different microns (0.6-1500 microns) depending on the thickness or the need to remove particles.
Longer duration
Extended life filter bags are composed of polypropylene or polyester felt ranging from 0.5-100 microns, and their service life is up to 5 times longer than the equivalent standard filter bag. Compared to the felt filter bag, it has a greater thickness allowing for greater retention of particles, in addition to the fact that the filtration density is gradual so that the particles do not prematurely block the filtration capacity of the bag and lengthening it. way its useful life.
These filter bags are made of 0.5 micron polyester, providing the best filtration results compared to other products available on the market.
Multi-layer felt filter bags
Felt filter bags are composed of various layers, between 2 or 3 layers of polypropylene or polyester felt, with the advantage that to further specify its durability, a layer of long-life felt can be incorporated and it can be Add an optional mesh outer cover.
Felt filter bags provide graduated density, greater depth filtration due to their multiple layers in a single filter bag. A high filtration capacity for dirt particles and a superior useful life of the filter bag is achieved by selecting an appropriate micron classification in the pre-filtration and final filtration layers according to the needs of the product.
Greater filtration capacity
The high-capacity filter bag is located inside a stainless steel filter basket. It has a high capacity that increases filtration by a high percentage compared to standard bags of the same size.
The liquid flows more widely through the external part and the central core, allowing an increase in the filtration area and thus obtaining a greater particle retention capacity and thus a longer useful life of the filter bag. .
Food and pharmaceutical filter bags
Bag filters used in food, beverages or pharmaceuticals must comply with CE standards for plastics in contact with food.
Independent testing and certification is required for the materials that make up the bags to ensure compliance with the regulations.
